Loop Project

Its about three weeks late but I lost my original footage so heres a loop made from some documentation work from jewellery in relation to sound and its influences on drawing.

Twelve ?

Well its been a long 12 weeks now. 12 cold monday mornings, 12 struggles to get out of bed, 12 drawn out lectures, 12 new lecturers (well maybe not 12 but certainly a few), 12 wasted tutorial times, 12 homework tasks.

Copyright Infringement ?

I think i may have breached copyright law in my montage sequence using another artists photographs. Im not entirely sure but will risk it for the sake of the exercise =)

Flickr / Youtube

After reading the Youtube Fair Use Classifier and the License on Flickr I have decided I do not want to now or in the future upload any of my images/videos onto either site as I do not want them in the public domain.

Copyright Case Studies

Case One:

George Harrison whether he knew or not did infringe on copyright as the melody / chordal structure and tempo are very similar. It may have been a subconscious accomplishment but still needs to be recognised as a copyright infringement.

Case Two:

It is obvious that the concept of Lebbeus Wood's drawing of the chair Neomechanical Tower (upper) Chamber has been appropriated and used in the film '12 Monkeys'.

Case Three:

Keir Smith's 'OH SO CRIMINAL' blatantly appropriates numerous iconic images from popular culture. In my opinion placing these images in this particular context creates somewhat of a parody. Under Copyright Law this work is clearly 'Illegal'.

Lego Animation

The reason I chose this video is because it uses Lego people and still frame photography. Currently in photography I am using Lego people to represent individuality in society for our location project. To be honest I just liked the music and isn't entirely relevant to anything.

Blue Oyster Gallery

Pretty much missed the exhibition due to shit time management but from what I hear it was pretty good. The exhibition space is rad though !

This is a small drawing of mine. It strongly represents my opinion on the popularity of SUPRE SLOGAN TEES and the overuse of FLUORESCENT colours in todays TEENY BOPPER attempt at fashion.

This post wasn't really of great interest but I didn't identify with any of the other numerous posts. It re-affirmed the fact that China and its people are being exploited to mass produce worthless pieces of crap to line the bottomless pockets of the coporate capitalist.

What I think of computers

A relatively compact object that can either provide infinite knowledge or just be a #$%@*&! pain in the ass.
